Does This Sound Like Your Daily Experience?

  • 📋 Executive Function Struggles

Planning, prioritising, organising, task initiation—these "simple" things that seem easy for others are exhausting for you. Your brain just doesn't work that way.

  • 😤 Emotional Dysregulation

Your emotions feel intense and hard to control. Rejection and criticism feel devastating. You react before you think.

  • 🧠 Brain Won't Shut Off

Your mind races with thoughts, ideas, and distractions. Focusing on boring-but-necessary tasks feels impossible. Your internal monologue is loud and constant.

  • 🎯 Starting But Not Finishing

You have incredible ideas and enthusiasm at the beginning, but follow-through? That's where you struggle. Your life is full of half-finished projects.

  • 🔥 Burnout Cycles

You go full throttle until you crash. Hyper focus leads to neglecting basic needs. You can't seem to maintain a sustainable pace.

  • ⏰ Time Blindness

You have no sense of how much time has passed or how long tasks will take. You're chronically late despite your best intentions, and deadlines sneak up on you.

  • 🌪️ Constant Overwhelm

Everything feels urgent. You're drowning in tasks, emails, and commitments. You don't know where to start, so you freeze or jump between things without finishing.

  • 😔 Shame & Self-Blame

You've been called lazy, irresponsible, or "not trying hard enough" your whole life. Deep down, you believe something is wrong with you.

If you're nodding along to most of these, you're not alone.

Your ADHD brain is wired differently, and with the right strategies and support, you can work WITH it instead of constantly fighting against it.

ADHD Coaching vs Therapy:

What's the Difference?

Therapy

Focuses on mental health diagnosis and treatment.

Explores past experiences and trauma.

Processes emotions and psychological patterns.

Asks "Why am I like this?"

Typically covered by insurance.

ADHD Coaching

Focuses on practical skill-building and strategies

Creates systems and structures for daily life

Provides accountability and support

Teaches time management and organisation

Asks "How can I make this work?"

Typically not covered by insurance

Bottom line:

Therapy helps you understand and heal. Coaching helps you function and thrive.

Both are important, and they complement each other beautifully.

My ADHD Coaching Approach

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.

Here's how we'll work together:

  • 🧠 Understanding YOUR Brain

We'll explore your unique ADHD presentation. Inattentive? Hyperactive? Combined? What triggers your symptoms? What helps? You're the expert on your brain—I'm here to help you decode it.

  • 🛠️ Building Custom Systems

I'll help you create strategies tailored to YOUR life, brain, and challenges. What works for someone else might not work for you—and that's okay. We'll experiment until we find what sticks.

  • ⚖️ Addressing Executive Function

We'll work on the core challenges: planning, prioritising, time management, task initiation, working memory, and emotional regulation. These are skills that can be learned and improved.

  • 👥 Body Doubling & Accountability

Sometimes you just need someone present to help you stay on task. I offer body doubling sessions and regular check-ins to keep momentum going between our meetings.

  • 💎 Strengths-Based Focus

ADHD isn't just deficits. We'll identify and amplify your strengths—your creativity, passion, ability to think outside the box, and hyperfocus on things you love.

  • 🌱 Sustainable Change

We're not aiming for perfection. We're creating systems you can actually maintain. Small, sustainable changes beat big, unsustainable overhauls every time.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don't have an official ADHD diagnosis. Can I still work with you?

Absolutely. Many people wait months or years for an evaluation, and some don't pursue formal diagnosis at all. If ADHD traits are impacting your life and you want support building better systems, you don't need an official diagnosis to benefit from coaching. I can also help you navigate the evaluation process if you decide to pursue one.

Do I need to be on medication to work with you?

No. Medication can be helpful for many people, but it's not required for coaching. Coaching and medication address different aspects of ADHD and work well together, but coaching is valuable on its own. I work with clients who are medicated, unmedicated, and everywhere in between.

How long does it take to see results?

Many clients notice small improvements within the first few weeks—things like better task initiation or reduced overwhelm. More significant changes in systems and habits typically emerge around 2-3 months. ADHD management is an ongoing practice, but you'll build skills and awareness that last far beyond our time together.

How is ADHD coaching different from therapy?

Therapy typically focuses on mental health diagnosis, processing emotions, and understanding the past. ADHD coaching is forward-focused on building practical skills and strategies for daily functioning. Therapy asks "why?" while coaching asks "how?" and "what now?" Many people benefit from both—they complement each other beautifully.

What if I've tried organising systems before and they never stick?

Most organising systems are designed for neurotypical brains. They don't work for ADHD because they ignore how your brain actually functions. We'll create systems specifically designed for ADHD—flexible, simple, and built around your natural tendencies rather than fighting against them. Plus, you'll have ongoing support and accountability to help them stick this time.

Is ADHD coaching covered by insurance?

Typically no. ADHD coaching is not a medical service, so it's generally not covered by insurance. However, some plans may reimburse coaching services—check with your plan administrator. I can provide detailed receipts you can submit if your plan allows it.

I'm worried I'll forget sessions or won't follow through on action items. Will coaching still work?

This is exactly why ADHD coaching includes accountability support! I'll send you reminders before sessions, help you set up systems to remember action items, and provide check-ins between sessions. Part of what we'll work on together is building structures that help you show up consistently—that's literally part of the coaching.

What's "body doubling" and why is it included?

Body doubling is when someone with ADHD works on tasks while another person is present (virtually). The presence of another person helps maintain focus and reduces the activation energy needed to start tasks. During body doubling sessions, you work on your tasks while I'm present on video—I'm not coaching or talking, just providing companionship and gentle accountability. Many ADHD adults find this incredibly helpful for tackling difficult or boring tasks.
